"Think Global/Film Local" Short Film Competition explores environmentalism in St George

The Think Global/Film Local film competition and festival is about showcasing local environmental action and local community stewardship. The competition is open to anyone who lives, works or studies in the St George Council areas (Rockdale, Kogarah, Hurstville), and schools must be located in the St George area. Prizes will be awarded in 5 categories:

        • Primary Schools - $750 and $350
        • Secondary Schools (years 7-10) - $750 and $350
        • Secondary Schools (years 11-12) - $750 and $350
        • Open Under 18 - $500 and $250
        • Open 18 and over - $600 and $350

Films should be creative and concise (between 30 seconds and three minutes) and entries are due by 5pm on Friday 26 October. By entering you are agreeing to the competition rules and screening of your film at the Think Global/Film Local St George film festival to be held in November 2012.

Films should explore one of the following themes:

        • "What are you doing to help the environment?"
        • "What part of your local environment is most important to you?"
