Georges River Website Launch

More than 60 people attended the web launch, which took place on October 21st during Water Week.  The launch included a welcome to country, a number of presentations and display of the web, followed by a tree planting and BBQ.  A significant effort was put in by individuals and groups within the catchment to arrange the launch including the GRCCC, the Mid, Upper and Lower Georges River Sustainability Projects and the Georges River Environment Education Centre at Chipping Norton. 

In recent months the Mid and Upper Georges River projects have funded the addition of content to the web page to ensure that there will be great pictures and information for all.  Additional information will continue to be added with the assistance of the Lower Georges Urban Sustainability Project, and through the training already provided to each of the councils.  The website went live during Water Week in October 2009 and promotion of the website came through press releases, photographs, bookmarks and posters.
