Bushcare Volunteers at MorganThere are many volunteer environmental groups that work to protect the Georges River either through lobbying, educating or working on-the-ground. Some of these groups include:

  • Bushcare and Landcare
  • Rivercare and Coastcare
  • Streamwatch
  • Rubbish clean-up
  • Bird watching groups
  • Fishing and boating clubs

  • Walking groups

The Appin Village Landcare Group work along Kennedy Creek and in the surrounds of Appin Park, they remove weeds and plant native plants propagated at the Wollondilly Community Nursery.
